Hydrocarbon Production

Natural gas production
     There are lot of methods are used to produce hydrocarbons. One of the best method is fracturing. Here some fracturing fluid is used based on the area which we are going to use.
Hydraulic fracturing
     Hydraulic fracturing is widely used process for the production of natural gas. Here high pressure fluid is used to crack rock. This process was started at 1947. The first step in the production of natural gas is, identifying the high amount of rock present in the earth. Microseismic monitoring is used to analyse the hydrocarbons.
     In initial stage, we can produce only 36% of natural gas without any fracture. Based on economy and other things we have to use some methods to get nearly 100% production. Because the company is going to invest 100 and 100 crores of money. To make 100% production we have to go for other process like fracking. Fracturing fluids are water and chemicals based on the area. Sand is also used for the fracking process as fracking fluid. This sand is specially made from bauxite or aluminium. It is very high purity sand, round grains and crush resist material.
     Water and other additives also used as the fracking fluid. Proppant and additives are used to prevent bio-fouling and corrosion. Acids are used as additives.
Production process
  A well is created and tons of water with sand is injected inside the well. It is used to fracture the rock. A pressure difference is created inside the well.  Here we have to used million tons of water to produce high amount of hydrocarbon. That is the main problem. Some times we have to use acids to make chemical reaction of acid with the rock which are present inside the earth. Concentration of acid will be different. Finally pressure different is created inside the well. Natural gas come out with ground water.  Water is sent to treat and natural gas is separated. It is used for electricity production, fuel and other purpose. This is simple explanation of production of natural gas. But the effect of this process is really very high. It will create effect on environment and health.
